so, in my "What should I draw for con" poll, Miyazaki films won.
which is very good, because I didn't want to draw anime characters I didn't know or liked xD
plus, I've noticed that you don't see much miyazaki art at cons, which seems rather strange, considering how big of a fanbase he has there!

I just recently saw Mononoke, and thought it was very interesting. I don't know if I really liked it or not.
That's how I am with most Miyazaki films. The only one I can truly say that I love heart and soul is "Kiki's Delivery Service". Partly because it's the cutest movie ever, and party because it's a childhood memory (anyone else remember when they used to play it on Disney Chanel all the time?)
Don't get me wrong, I think all of his movies are beautifully done. I guess most of them confuse me a bit, though, so Kiki remains my favorite xD

I will say, however, that I thought the boar from the beginning was interesting. It reminded me of Lord of the Flies.

This didn't turn out quite how I wanted it, but I'm not going to be too hard on myself, because I only spent a day and a half on it....plus, at cons I don't think people are looking for quality so much. They just want to see their favorite character.

What miyazaki film should I draw next? (all except totoro.)

oh! And I totally forgot to mention!

Cool done ^^
Even when her face doesn't convince me at all (dunno why, maybe because it's not anime styled) it's great.
I love the colors and the pose.

I have similar senses when I see this film >____< it's kinda... shocking, confusing... dunno, Interesting!

I love this picture, and the movie, although I kinda do agree with you about the plot and execution of the story, it is slightly confusing but interesting nonetheless.

Can You draw Nausicaa of the valley of the wind next please? It's the recent Miyazaki film I saw and I loved it! Here is the link if you haven't seen it ~ [link] (P.S. It's also a completed Manga.)

Learn it. Love it. Live it.

yeah. Totoro's okay, but it's not a movie I really got into at all.
and I just don't feel like drawing him, I guess.

Really beautiful. Excellent proportion and pose.

I've been meaning to ask you: what kind of markers do you use?

Avataaaarrrr. :heart::noes:

Don't even think about touching this. Isn't that what it says on the picture of your crotch at the free clinic?
:iconsolemnsally:
I use Prismacolor markers :) They're so fun to work with!
