So....my thoughts on The marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack are fairly mixed. I don't neccisarily like the show....it's so unstructured, that it's almost annoying (and no, I really can't see it being any other way...The show is perfect how it is--just not my cup of tea.) BUT the visuals are just so AMAZING and ORIGINAL! The backgrounds, the character desings, the style, are all just so beautiful that I can hardly stay away. It's so grotesque to the point of beautey.
Anyways, this is a present for my dear friend  who is just as nerdy as I am when it comes to cartoons (and that is hard to do!)...She loves flapjack, and I really do think it's because of her that I've recently been doodling that little boy all over my notebooks....so I even did this little oil painting of him for her. I know that it looks weird, and is in a different style, and all that stuff, but this was more for fun that correctness of style.I know I owe some of you drawings. Keep your panties on. I'll get to it....eventually. Hope you like it, Court! |
